Protecting Your Personal Information

When you register a domain, you must submit personal information showing that you are the Registrant of the domain. Your personal information shows up when someone looks up the domain name on WHOIS ( a large database of domain information).

Anyone can have access to this information.  Whoever performs a search on WHOIS can capture your name, company, phone number and email address and use it in their email marketing campaigns.

For a small service fee, you can elect to hide your personal information from a WHOIS search and protect it, reducing the amount of spam to your inbox.

Here is how you protect you personal information associated with your domain:

1. Login to your Personal Control Panel

2. Click Domains on the Main Menu

3. Click My Domains on the drop-down menu

4. Click the Tool button associated with the domain for which you want to hide your information

5. Click Addons on the Manage Menu (left panel)

6. Activate the Buy Now link for the ID Protection

You will be taken to another page that will verify the domain and service fee.

7. Activate the Buy Now button when you are ready to protect your information

An Invoice will be generated and sent to your email box shown on your personal account.
