Overview of Inphase Domain Services Agreement

This Agreement governs Customer’s use of domain name services secured through Inphase Website Hosting and Design.

The Domain Policy is part of the Inphase Website Hosing & Design Policies of which the AUP governs the use of our website or websites. The Domain Policy does not intend to contradict, ignore, nor circumvent the AUP. Nor does the AUP intend to contradict, ignore, or circumvent the Domain Name Policy.

By using Inphase Website Hosting & Design domain services, either by means of this website or by any other means, the customer enters into an agreement with Inphase and becomes bound by this policy.

 

Definition of Policy Terms

Inphase Website Hosting & Design may be referred to as we, our, us, company, or Inphase. Our customers may be referred to by terms as you, your, client, customer or user.

This policy may be referred to as policy, agreement, or contract.

 

Description of Domain Name Service

Inphase provides a means of searching for and securing proper registration of domain names on its website for your convenience in finding a suitable domain name. Any name may be searched for, but the desired domain name may not be available for registration, having been registered already by another party.

Inphase also provides the client a personal control panel that will allow self management activites for the domain.

 

Purchasing A Domain Name

Domain Name Information

As a Registered Domain Name Holder, you must provide the Registrar with vald and accurate personal informaiton. Failure to do so could lead to deleation of the domain registration which is enforced by ICANN.

The Registrar will send a reminder every year to the email supplied by the Registered Domain Name Holder to check the accuracy of the information in the Whois database. Inphase reccomends checking and verifying the informatiion to avoide possible loss of the domain name registration and/or inturruption of hosting services.

Domain Name Registration

Inphase Website Hosting & Design as a reseller of domain names, promises to provide clients with TLD's only from certified Registrars by ICANN. Inphase may use several Registrars to provide the best value or desired TLD's.

Registration of a domain name is required in order to use that name on the Internet or Web. When you use Inphase to register a domain name, the domain name is registered in your name with an approved Registrar.

The registration is held in the client's name. The client becomes, and is known, as the Registered Domain Name Holder.

Registration fees are generated by Registrars to help offset the cost of managing and controlling the vast amount of domain names on the Internet.

Domains can be registered via Inphase up to three years at a time.

Domain Name Renewals

Registration of domain names must be renewed every year which is subject to a renewal fee.

Domains can be renewed up to four years at a time.

To help the customer, Inphase sends several reminders of the domain renewal to the client before the expiration date to prevent the loss of a domain name, the high cost of recovery (if it can be recovdered), and any inturruption of hosting services.

Domain Name Choice

Inphase will provide a means of searching for and securing proper registration of domain names on its website for your convenience in finding a suitable domain name. Any name may be searched for, but the desired domain name may not be available for registration, having been registered already by another party.

You may use a search bar to find a suitable domain name, but misuse of the search bar could result in your IP being banned from use with Inphase service.

If the client is having problems choosing a domain name, he or she should contact Inphase for assistance.

Lawful Use Domain Name

The customer agrees to use Inphase products and services in compliance with applicable law and Inphase’s Acceptable Use Policy which is hereby referenced in this agreement. 

The customer agrees that Inphase may, in its reasonable commercial judgment consistent with industry standards, amend the AUP and this policy from time to time to further detail or describe reasonable restrictions and conditions on your use of the products and services. 

Amendments to the AUP and the Website Domain Name Policy are effective on the earlier of Inphase’s notice to you that an amendment has been made, or the first day of any Renewal Term that begins subsequent to the amendment. Notice may be made by email or posting on the website.

You agree to cooperate with Inphase’s reasonable investigation of any suspected violation of the Website Domain Name Policy. In the event of a dispute between Inphase and the customer regarding the interpretation of this policy, Inphase’s commercially reasonable interpretation of Inphase Website Hosting & Design Policies shall govern.

 

Domain Registration Payments

If you are registering or renewing a domain name through Inphase domain servcies, payments for the domain registration are made directly to Inphase. Inphase, in turn, remits payment to the Registrar.

Inphase will send several reminders to you before the domain registration expires. You can remit payment to renew your domain anytime before the expiration date without loss of any remaing time: the new time is added to the remaing time.

Domain Control Panel

Inphase will provide a control panel for the client with features for controlling domains.

It should be noted that any changes made to a domain name within its Zone could result in loss or partial loss of proper working order. It is advised by Inphase Website Hosting & Design, not to adjust any part of the domain zone, unless the user is a qualified website developer.

There are no refunds for domain payments.

 

Suspension/Termination of Domain Services

Domain Names are controled by the Registrar and cannot be terminated by Inphase or the client once they are registred. Domain names are registered for a period of one year or more and stay in effect until the registration period expires.

The Registrar may terminate the registration before the expiration date if it finds the use of the domain in violation of any appliciple laws are missuse of the name.

If the Registrar terminates a registration, Inphase reserves the right to suspend the client's account, rendering the website inactive and unable to be viewed on the Internet.

 

Disclaimer

Inphase does not gurantee nor make any promises that a domain can be recovered if it is allowed to exceed its expiration date.

If a client lets the domain expire, the registration of that domain goes back to the Registrar. The Registrar may put the domain up for sale in order to recapture any costs associated with the registration. The domain is held by the Registrar for a grace period which could lead to high recovery costs. If the registration goes past the grace period and the registration is deleated, recovery may not be attainable, or it could become subject to greater recovery costs.

If the domain zone is changed by the client without prior approval by Inpahse, and the changes result in the loss of a website or other features, a maintenance fee will be assessed for recovery and proper operation of the doman, even if the client has a maintenance program in place with Inpase.

 

Entire Understanding of Domain Name Services

Inphase provides domain name services for the client, but Inphase cannot be held responsible for the misuse of the domain name.
