FileZilla: is the brand name of a popular open source FTP software program.

Firewall: a secured software or hardware program designed to protect web servers and computers from hacker attacks of unauthorized access.

Framework: is a specific software system that provides particular functionality to help develop other software applications, products, and solutions.

FTP: or File Transfer Protocol, is a method of exchanging files between remote users; as your computer and a web server.

FTP Host: This is your domain with ftp added to it, i.e. ftp.yourdomain.com.

FTP Password: This is the same as your cPanel password.

FTP Username: This is the same as your cPanel username.

Giff: Graphics Interchange Format is a graphic compression format that doesn't work well with photographs, but does work well with well defined colors as text, icons and logos. It displays transparency and supports annimation.

Glue Record: Address records contained in a domain's Zone that helps resolve a DNS query for that domain when the domain name is also contained in the name server.

Grid: An essential tool for graphic and web design where proportional vertical and horizontal lines allow for placement of page elements.

gTLD: Generic Top Level Domains are three letter domains and used mostly in the United States as .edu, .net, or .com.

G-Zip: is a software application that provides a compressed and decompressed file format.

IP: or Internet Protocol is the protocol that designates the format of data that are used to exchange information over the Internet.
